You send your cards to Slabbed in Denmark, and we handle the submission to CGC Cards. You see the price per card up front, we photograph the submission on arrival, and you can follow it all the way until the cards are back with you.

If a card is worth more than the tier limit, CGC can move it to a higher tier and the difference is charged. If CGC raises its prices or temporarily pauses submissions, we keep the cards securely and let you know before any surcharge applies.

Processing time versus total time
The times in the price table are CGC's own estimates and apply from when the cards are registered at CGC. Total time is longer: waiting for our next dispatch, transport to CGC, registration at CGC, the grading itself and return shipping to you.
Your cards must have been sent to us and payment completed by the 10th of the month. The deadline applies to all grading companies. Cards that arrive later go with the next shipment. This is not our dispatch date. Dates follow Copenhagen time.
How to pack and send your cards
You send the cards to Slabbed. We combine submissions and forward them to CGC with our next shipment.
- 1. Each card in a penny sleeve
Place each card in a soft penny sleeve, making sure the card faces the open side.
Slabbed photo coming soon - 2. Card saver or semi-rigid holder
Sleeved cards go into a card saver I (recommended) or a semi-rigid holder. Don't put tape directly on the holder.

Bundle the holders with a rubber band (not too tight), wrap in bubble wrap and place in a rigid box with padding around it.

This is our receiving address for parcels sent from outside Denmark. Always send with trackable, insured shipping, and include your order number in the package.
We do not store stock or valuables at this address, and the company's registered address does not hold collectibles or valuables.

Insurance on your submission
Insurance is mandatory. It costs €2.68 incl. applicable VAT per started €135 of declared value and must be paid at submission. It covers the cards from when we receive them until they are back with you. A card declared at four times that value costs €10.72 to insure.
What the cover includes
Loss or damage while the cards are with us, on the way to the grading company and back to your door. Cover starts when we receive the cards; your own shipment to us is not covered, so send it tracked with the carrier's own insurance if needed. Cover follows the declared value you enter on the submission, up to the raw value of the card.
While the cards are with us
Cards are kept in a locked, alarm monitored safe between arrival, packing and dispatch. Nothing is stored loose on a desk overnight.
Documentation
We photograph every card on arrival and again before return shipping, so condition is documented on both sides of the trip.
Setting the declared value
Use the realistic raw value of the card, the price you could sell it for ungraded today. An inflated value does not increase a payout, and a value set too low limits it.

Not covered: the grade itself, changes in market value, and damage that already existed when we received the card. Anything we spot on arrival is photographed and reported to you before the cards move on.
If something goes wrong, write to hello@slabbed.eu with your submission number. For submissions with paid insurance, we handle the claim with the carrier and pay out on the declared value, so you do not deal with the carrier yourself.
Grading card terms
Do not submit counterfeit, cleaned or otherwise altered cards that cannot be graded. We only make a quick, general check on receipt because we handle many cards, so we may miss alterations or counterfeits. The grading company makes the final determination. If a card is rejected or returned without a grade for this reason, the agreed grading fee is still charged and is not refunded.
If you fill in the card list yourself, it is your responsibility to enter the correct version of each card, such as the right set, number and variant. If a card is entered incorrectly, you forfeit your right to the grading fee if the card therefore does not get graded.

Which cards can I send?+
Trading cards that CGC grades, such as Pokémon cards in English and Japanese. Cards that are altered, cleaned, trimmed or counterfeit cannot be graded. The full terms are shown on this page and in the submission form.
How should I pack the cards?+
Put each card in a penny sleeve and a semi-rigid holder (card saver), pack them firmly so nothing moves, and use a sturdy box or padded envelope. The packing guide in the submission flow shows the details.
How long does it take?+
Bulk: Approx. 85 working days; Economy: Approx. 50 working days; Standard: Approx. 50 working days; Express: Approx. 50 working days; WalkThrough: Approx. 50 working days; Unlimited Value: Approx. 50 working days. CGC Germany: trading card games are graded in Germany, Bulk approximately 85 working days and all other listed tiers approximately 50 working days. Sports, non-sports and mixed submissions are sent to the USA through this service, approximately 50 working days at every tier. For Gaming or Other, the card type and route need confirmation; the displayed Bulk estimate remains 85 working days until then. Express and WalkThrough currently have no shorter processing estimate than Economy.. CGC's own processing estimate depends on the tier and is counted from when CGC receives and registers the cards. On top of that comes the time until our next dispatch, transport to CGC, and return shipping to you. CGC's estimates are not guaranteed and can change with their backlog.

What is declared value?+
Declared value is your estimate of what each card will be worth after grading. It decides which CGC tier the card fits into, and it is the basis for the mandatory insurance based on declared value. If a card is worth more than the tier allows, CGC can move it up and charge the difference.
What happens if a card is rejected or cannot be graded?+
If CGC finds a card altered, counterfeit or otherwise ungradable, it is returned without a grade. The grading fee is still charged, since the card has been handled and assessed.
What is the difference between Pristine 10 and Gem Mint 10?+
Pristine 10 is CGC's highest current grade, with 50/50 centring and flawless colour and registration. Gem Mint 10 is an overall 10 where one grading criterion does not meet Pristine requirements; front centring is approximately 55/45 or better and reverse centring 75/25 or better. Perfect 10 and subgrades belong to earlier labels and are no longer assigned. Historical Gem Mint 9.5 is equivalent to Gem Mint 10 under CGC's updated scale; current Mint+ 9.5 is a different grade. A review cannot guarantee a grade or selling price.
