What is PSA grading?
PSA first authenticates the card, then assesses its condition and quality on a 10-point scale and seals it in a labelled slab. The grade is an independent assessment of factors including centring, corners, edges and surface.
PSA has opened grading in Frankfurt
PSA Europe is PSA's first full-scale grading facility in continental Europe. It allows more European cards to be processed in Frankfurt instead of crossing the Atlantic. The rollout is phased, so the route can depend on the service level and submission channel.
Collectors in Denmark and across Europe can submit through Slabbed. We collect the card details, check the service level and declared value, prepare the batch, manage transport to the PSA facility used for that batch, and update the status in your account.

Per-card prices include PSA grading, Slabbed's handling and applicable VAT. There is no PSA bulk discount. The declared value must fit the tier limit; otherwise a more expensive tier may be needed. Return shipping and any add-ons are shown before payment.
Return shipping is tracked and priced by destination country, from €17 per parcel. Shipping to us is paid by you. Insurance is mandatory: €2.68 per started €135 of declared value incl. applicable VAT. It must be paid at submission. Cover starts when we receive the cards and includes our handling and onward transport, not your shipment to us. Insurance is mandatory for new submissions and must be paid before cover applies. Your own shipment to us is not covered. Card review and packing supplies are optional. Card-list help is required if you do not enter the cards yourself.
Turnaround times are PSA estimates, not guarantees, and begin only when the order enters PSA's grading system. Transport and Slabbed handling are additional.

What happens if PSA pauses submissions?
If PSA temporarily closes new submissions, we will contact you about next steps. Ask us about any price changes before you pay.
From submission to the card being back home
- 1. Create the submission
Choose PSA and a service level, enter cards and declared value and pay. You get the packing instructions right away.
- 2. Ship the cards to us
You pay for the shipment to us yourself. We document arrival with photos in your account.
- 3. We prepare and ship to PSA
We check details and value limits, assemble the batch and handle transport to the PSA facility used for that batch.
- 4. Time at PSA
PSA's estimated turnaround (70-80 business days for Standard) starts only when the order is registered in PSA's grading system. It is PSA's estimate, not a guarantee.
- 5. Return to you
We receive the cards from PSA, document them again and ship them back to you tracked.
The complete journey is therefore longer than PSA's turnaround alone: your shipment to us, our preparation and transport to and from PSA come on top of PSA's estimate. Realistically allow several extra weeks around PSA's time, depending on batch and transport.
How to read a PSA grade

Grading card terms
Do not submit counterfeit, cleaned or otherwise altered cards that cannot be graded. We only make a quick, general check on receipt because we handle many cards, so we may miss alterations or counterfeits. The grading company makes the final determination. If a card is rejected or returned without a grade for this reason, the agreed grading fee is still charged and is not refunded.
If you fill in the card list yourself, it is your responsibility to enter the correct version of each card, such as the right set, number and variant. If a card is entered incorrectly, you forfeit your right to the grading fee if the card therefore does not get graded.

What does PSA grading cost from Europe?+
PSA Value Launch Offer is a limited time price at €36.74 per card including applicable taxes and Slabbed.eu's handling. Standard is €62.99 and Express €208.95. PSA prices by declared value, so a more valuable card moves up into a more expensive service level.
How long does PSA grading take?+
Standard: 70-80 business days; Priority: 50-60 business days; Express: 25-30 business days; Super Express: 25-30 business days; Premier: 25-30 business days; Premium 1: 25-30 business days. These are estimates, not guarantees, counted when the order enters PSA's grading system. Slabbed handling and transport are additional.
What happens if PSA requests an extra fee?+
We inform you and ask for your approval before accepting PSA's additional fee. If you decline, PSA returns the card ungraded at your expense and the original grading fee is not refunded.
What changed with PSA Europe?+
PSA has opened its first full-scale grading facility in continental Europe in Frankfurt. The rollout is phased, so the facility and route used can depend on the service and submission channel. Slabbed confirms the route for each batch and continues to handle preparation, transport and status updates. Insurance is mandatory.
Why is PSA so popular in the Pokémon community?+

What does PSA 10 Gem Mint mean?+
PSA 10 (Gem Mint) is PSA's highest grade, described in its standards as virtually perfect. PSA assesses corners, edges, surface and centring, and allows limited tolerances. No pre-review guarantees a PSA 10 or a higher resale price. PSA uses half grades from 1.5 to 8.5, with no PSA 9.5.
Is PSA better than BGS for Pokémon?+
Choose by your collection goals, grading scale, slab preferences, total costs and turnaround. BGS offers subgrades, while PSA uses its own grading scale. Neither guarantees a higher selling price. See our PSA vs BGS vs CGC comparison.
Does PSA use half grades?+
Yes, from 1.5 up to 8.5: PSA issues 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, 5.5, 6.5, 7.5 and 8.5. Above 8.5 the scale runs in whole points only, so there is no PSA 9.5. A PSA 9 is 'Mint' and a PSA 10 is 'Gem Mint'. The value difference depends on the specific card and market.
Can I get my PSA slab regraded?+
Yes. Either through PSA's own review service, or by cracking the slab and resubmitting the card. It carries some risk because the card leaves its protection, but it can make sense if you think a 10 is within reach.
Can you help with old Pokémon cards from 1999?+
Yes. We're happy to assess your vintage cards before submission. For Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket, Gym and Neo cards, we can recommend whether to submit based on the printing and condition. This is a recommendation, not a promised grade or profit.
