PSA FAQ: turnaround, insurance and prices

PSA first authenticates the card, then assesses its condition on a 10-point scale and seals it in a labelled slab. The assessment considers factors including centring, corners, edges and surface.

Yes. You send the cards to Slabbed in Denmark and we manage the rest of the submission. The service is available to collectors in Denmark and across Europe.

PSA has opened its first full-scale grading facility in continental Europe in Frankfurt, allowing more European cards to be processed locally. The rollout is phased, so the PSA facility and route used can depend on the service level and submission channel.

You create the submission online, choose a service level and declared value, then send the cards to us in Denmark. We document receipt, check the details, prepare the batch and manage insured transport to and from the PSA facility used for that batch. You follow the status in your account and receive the cards back from Slabbed.

PSA currently publishes estimates of 90-100 business days for Standard, 70-80 for Priority, 20-30 for Express, 10-15 for Super Express, 7-10 for Premier and 5-7 for Premium services. These are estimates, not guarantees. Slabbed handling and transport are additional, and you can follow the status in your account.

Turnaround is counted in business days from the moment the order enters PSA's grading system. It does not start when you ship the package to us: transport to Slabbed, our checks and preparation, and transport to PSA sit outside it. You can follow the process in your account.

Yes. PSA currently publishes 20-30 business days for Express, 10-15 for Super Express, 7-10 for Premier and 5-7 for Premium services. The price and declared-value limit rise with the service level. Pick the level in the submission to see the price immediately. Standard Intro is currently €52.49 per card, Standard €62.99 and Express €208.95.

Insurance is optional but recommended: €2 per started €135 of declared value incl. applicable VAT. It covers the cards while they are with us and in transit to and from PSA. The declared value is the card's current, ungraded value, and it also decides which PSA tier your card lands in, so fill it in realistically based on recent sold prices.

All Danish prices, including VAT, are rounded up to the nearest 10 kr., both per card and on line items like insurance and return shipping. That way the sums add up in the submission, the cart and at payment, with no cent amounts: the price you see is the price you pay. On Slabbed.eu prices are shown in euros with two decimals instead.

No. Every line item is rounded up to the nearest 10 kr. once, and the total is exactly the sum of the lines shown. The payment page therefore never shows a higher amount than the one in the submission and the cart.

No. Unlike BGS and CGC, PSA carries no volume discount with us. PSA's price follows the card's declared value per card, so the price per card is the same whether you send one card or fifty. Return shipping is only charged once, though, when several submissions travel together at the same service level.

Standard Intro and Priority Intro are limited time introductory prices that we currently offer below Standard and Priority. Turnaround and value limits are the same as the matching standard levels. If PSA changes its prices, ours follow, and the price table on the PSA page always shows the current ones.

If PSA temporarily closes for new submissions, we keep the cards insured until PSA reopens. If the price rises, a surcharge matching the increase may apply, and we contact you first.

PSA 10 is the highest grade on the PSA scale and means the card appears perfect: sharp corners, clean edges, correct centering and a surface free of defects. A PSA 10 can multiply the value compared to a PSA 9. PSA uses only one half grade, PSA 1.5 (Fair); above that the scale runs in whole points.
